WHAT IS OPUS PLASMA TREATMENT?
The Opus Plasma skin treatment uses unipolar radiofrequency energy as its primary method of treating skin tone, texture, and even skin laxity. When the device is placed near the skin, the charged metal tips of the roller head react to atmospheric pressure and generate plasma right from the air and create tiny channels in the skin. This induces fractional injuries in the microthermal zones of one’s skin. What’s the outcome? Collagen and elastin production is stimulated resulting in skin that is bright, firm, and highly oxygenated.

Ask us about Opus Colibri
Opus Colibri is a non-surgical eye lift treatment. This procedure can be done with the regular opus treatment or as a separate service. Results are possible after just one treatment!
Opus Colibri is an innovative skin resurfacing solution for hard-to-reach areas around the eyes – directly delivering micro-plasma to stimulate the skin and drive energy deeper than ever before. It’s 0.7mm tip allows your practitioner to target areas of concern with precision and accuracy for the best non-surgical treatment results.
What is Skin Resurfacing?
Most commonly done with a laser, skin resurfacing is the most dramatic, non-surgical procedure to repair and renew the skin, addressing wide-ranging skin concerns. Fractional skin resurfacing involves creating a pattern of microscopic injuries to a fraction of the skin. This stimulates a natural wound-healing response, exciting the skin to repair itself. The type of injury can vary depending on the type of fractional-based skin resurfacing technology used. This treatment may also go by different names – Skin rejuvenation, fractional plasma, radio frequency skin resurfacing, nonsurgical facelift – if you are searching for these treatments – Opus Plasma treatment may be right for you.
Why Opus Plasma?
Opus Plasma builds upon the popular and widely accepted science of fractional skin resurfacing and advances this field forward with an option that improves the patient experience using a novel energy source – Plasma. With Opus Plasma, you can enjoy fractional skin resurfacing results with much less downtime.
We also offer other skin treatments you might consider including Zaffiro Skin Tightening, Fibroblasty, and Dermaplaning.
What Should I Expect with Opus Plasma Treatment?
Opus Plasma is approximately a 1.5 hour treatment performed following application of a topical anesthetic. During your consultation with Michelle Hale, our Boulder Opus Plasma practitioner will assess your skin to personalize the best treatment plan for you. While you’ll begin to enjoy noticeable improvements following your first skin treatment, we recommend 3 treatments for optimal results.
Is This Skin Treatment Painful?
Depending on your treatment plan and the location – skin or face – the degree of discomfort will vary. Topical anesthetic is recommended to numb the treatment area prior to the treatment to minimize discomfort.
What Does Recovery Look Like?
Recovery of your skin also depends on your treatment plan and whether it’s on your face or skin. A clinical study has shown that Opus Plasma required 50% less downtime when compared to another laser fractional skin resurfacing technology. When using moderate settings, the downtime is minimal. You may experience 24 – 48 hours of mild to moderate redness and swelling – not significant enough to interfere with your daily routine.
Am I A Good Candidate for Opus Plasma?
Opus Plasma was developed to be a versatile too to address a wide demographic of patients of different ages, skin types and skin issues. Michelle can dial the energy up or down to personalize the right skin treatment plan for your needs. Many of our Opus Plasma clients travel to Boulder from Ft.
